{The Duck Egg Table}

Ahhh, she's quite a beauty, huh?  I love that I found this table for $8.99 at Goodwill yesterday and had it painted with Annie Sloan Chalk Paint, in Duck Egg Blue, and waxed and in its new spot in less than 24 hours.  One of the perks of this fabulous paint.

Before the wax:

I mixed Annie Sloan clear wax with her dark wax in about a 4:1 ratio to tone down the duck egg blue a bit.
What the wax looked like before I applied it with a waxing brush:

So go ask Grandma if she still has one of these:

{Nesting Side Tables}

I love white furniture.  It goes with everything and can look classy, shabby, casual or fancy. Everything matches it.  Blacks, browns, warm tones, cool ones.  You name it.
These tables were painted in Annie Sloan's Old White Chalk Paint, distressed with a sanding block and topped with polycrylic by minwax.  Traditionally, chalk paint is finished with wax, but I wanted a harder finish for these tables since they get a lot of use from my little monsters.

Before:
Black.  Not bad, but I was tired of it and am changing the color scheme in my living room to grays, whites and a duck egg blue.

{Flat Screen TV Console} - Sold!!

Ugh! This dresser was so ugly in it's previous life!
BUT, with its new coat of Annie Sloan's furniture paint in Graphite, new brushed nickel hardware and Hennant's clear and dark furniture wax, it's lookin' pretty slick.

And just imagine a nice, big, bright flat screen sitting or mounted on top of this baby. It will be a beautiful sight, indeed.

If you love it enough though, it could still fly as a dresser, you'll just have to keep that top shelf nice and organized. ;)

The original two big top drawers have been removed (and thrown in the garbage, mind you), 1/2" MDF put down to provide a nice sturdy shelf perfect for your TV components such as: wii, dvd or bluray player, satellite receiver, sound system device or whatever. The cabinet in the middle hides two more shelves lined with solid MDF (that also used to be drawers) that could hold more components, video games, board games, movies, cds, or random junk that you want to hide when a prestigious community member happens to pop in to say hello. No. An even better place for that junk would be in the 4 drawers that will provide even more excellent storage in your family room (xbox controllers, movies, games?).

Dimensions:
Length 66"
Height 31 3/4"
Depth 18"

{Thomasville Coffee Table} - Custom Refinish

The owner of these tables wanted a fresh look in her living room, and also to bring a bit of color (as accomplished with the end tables below) in as well. She wanted the coffee table to be white (I used Honeymilk by Valspar), with a medium glaze, and sealed with a polycrylic top coat. It turned out beautifully.
